Before we forget...
Happy Thanksgiving to you and your loved ones...may this be a memorable time for you...Cherish those around you and don't forget to take care of yourselves...
Let's share a Thanksgiving moment in my past.
I love my family...I really do...and every year our family descends upon my parents' house for a twenty two sit down meal. Being the blessed baby of the family, I have never been asked to make anything (since I really don't cook.) Six years ago (not that I have it cemented in my brain), I wanted to contribute in a selfless manner by making a dish from scratch. Pumpkin Soup was my idea of the perfect addition to an already successful tradional meal. I journeyed to the market to fetch the necessary items. I was so excited that I was actually going to make a love dish for my family.
I retired to bed at 3am after a few fiascos in the preparation of the love dish...I was exhausted. I believe I used every pot, utensil, cup, spoon, fork, cocktail glass ( I was thirsty) and every linen. BUT I wanted and thrived to make the perfect dish.
Travel to Cherryville while guarding the priced soup not to spill in the turbulant drive. I arrive. I announce that I, too have brought a dish to contribute to our family Thanksgiving. Pumpkin Soup! What? What is that? You want us to eat that? Giggle, giggle, giggle! AND it didn't stop there. I only remember three bowls being eaten of the soup.
That soup lasted me WAY too long...
Six years later, every family member still chuckles about the soup...and as God is my Witness, I will burn Tara down before I ever make soup again...
But, I still love my family!

Some of you may know that I am working out with a personal trainer. Chris is pushing me beyond my limits to force me into the perfect body. I have a little issue. At 37, I have 7th grade junior high girl wrists. I can't get them bigger for the life of me. I don't wear a watch for that reason. Can you help me? I need to find a watch that does not accent my boney wrists but makes them look great and actually gives me the time when I need it!
